Closest i get too involved with politics is the free palestine movement. I’ve been to one protest before and i nearly felt like wanting to cry because these people are in an unfair circumstance in life and the fact people’s children are being left as orphans over there really tells you how dark humanity is.

Emotions are primitive, though certainly not useless or insignificant.

Expressing emotions is just a social behaviour in blunt honesty. It is ideal to never express emotion externally ,overly so that is.

Empathy ? Maybe just tolerance, staying in line with formality, or respect ? (All transactional) True empathy whatever that is…… is felt inside……though the expression of it can be alike to how respect or tolerance for someone can be expressed.

also im not saying be overly nice cause there is some ppl who dont deserve this. the truth is that being nice will get you nowhere to some people and i learnt this the hard way at 15. however among a regular crowd and environment does play a role, being a good person and someone who isnt hateful or bitter or just has empathy and such will give you less opportunities in life than someone who is a nice person

a lot of it consists of arguing over who is more morally consistent with children on social media. anything that rears its head outside of the Overton window is met with either dogmatic reproach or endorsement from a utopian select, which is becoming rarer nowadays as current generations feel more inclined to back acceptable political movements for the sake of demonstrating to their peers that they have common sense empathy.

i still think that certain political philosophers are valuable in forming distinctions as to why people draw factions in the playground. Carl Schmitt for instance is pretty based in this regard imo
