but on a deeper level, a perfectly good being wouldn't bring harm to another. However there is violence in the name of good. The means of achievement arent good (violence), but the end goal is good. There is a difference between force and violence, when you don't have your grammar mastered you can't tell the difference between what is a harmful behavior from an unharmful one. Buddhism might be a way out for lot of NEET but ultimately it's a cope, but I might be very biased toward it since I'm from Shinto-Buddhist country of Japan.

I was the originally thinking about "the road to hell is paved in good intentions" which is the motif that plagues the West with socialism/liberalism, but what you have stated is also true. Total detachment and failure to act in the face of evil can lead to even greater evil.
