Yesterday ive been betrayed 1 of my 2 best friends stolen money from my mom and that got me thinking

If one of the 2 people on earth that I'm the closest to and that I trusted the most does anybody else deserve trust?

Like everybody betrays each other no matter what their relationship is (sibling/parent/couple)is the only person I should trust be myself? Are relationships even real at this point?

There's levels of trust tbh
Definitely agree.

Trust is precious. You have to be very careful with it.

For me, I don't think encouraging people to be naturally distrustful is necessarily healthy. It may be justifiable, but I think a better perspective to take on it, for the sake of your overall well-being, is that you should reserve deep trust for those who encompass your values and have demonstrated this comprehensively. As a byproduct of this, so long as your soul is pure, the odds that you will get mistreated by someone close to you will be low.

But you shouldn't be pessimistic about people in general. The world would be a better place if everyone was able to see the value that each one of us have, no matter how deeply buried it may be in some people.

It depends on the person, and also on the situation.
