I remember back at the beginning of this decade, when I was really active in IT and cybersecurity online communities. I saw some foids start cybersecurity from scratch and make vlogs about it, and they ended up getting thousands of followers.
The thing was, their content was very basic and not that elaborate basically slop content (the kind of stuff you share while learning at the same time) . Yet they got much more visibility than some highly knowledgeable cybersecurity professionnals who could shut down organizational services thanks to their skills, or find 0days vulnerabilities.
They also received many opportunities for sponsorships, work, and so on because of that.
That’s when I realized that IT and cybersecurity are cucked fields.
