Takes 3 days bcause im using slow curing epoxy so each part of the handle requires 1 day to cure. For sheath I can use some leather and a clip. I already done one with 3D printer, hope is doable with wood as well
This retention mechanism I made is excellent and tunable. Basically here I 3D printed it, but I want to replicate this design with wood.
How it works is simple, there is a clip of plastic that locks on the handle feature. Ive been using it since a while and its basically perfect. Will try to make it with wood this time, and sewing the leather on the wood holes.
In a nutshell I have to prepare a wood insert and have a piece of leather. Right now I have no leather so I have to order it on the internet. It works better than other knife sheaths I seen around. Its also relatively easy to do.
Done some vacuum impreg with some pigment and some mix of oils and i leave ti there to cure for a while. For now is done.
Obvsly finishing process takes long. For the sheath I will do it next month when I order some things on the internet. I do also other knives bcause I ordered some blades.
