Listing out the best games ever made for any potential uncultured plebes

Not going to be mentioning anything from NES/PS1 era because for some reason everything then was immensely well-made and some of the titles, which go without saying, masterpieces that hold up to this day and beyond

Ninja Gaiden II obviously, you cannot call yourself a pro gamer if you haven't played it. Best way to play it of course is on xbox 360 or the Sigma 2 Black mod, not to be confused with 2 Black which is just slightly better than playing the sigma version without the mod to restore cut content. Ragebound, the one that came out recently, worth mentioning as it is a great and refreshing addition to the NG series in my view. Team NINJA frankly sucks doodoo overall because the only good games they've made are counted on one hand, and they let out a ton of worthless, disappointing remakes. In case you are wondering, I tried every title they've made by the way, and still the only one aside from ng series worth playing is Nioh 2
In the same vein, Devil May Cry 3 (4 has technically the highest skill ceiling due to what's called Inertia, and 5 has the most expressiveness for your creativity to shine, but the both pale in comparison with how tight the enemy design of 3 is). I recommend getting to know it's predecessors also, which are RE1,2,3 the original ones with Classic REbirth patch and Onimusha Warlords, if you wish to play through all of the games. Do not be a part skipper
Okami is for certified chads (and since I have included a couple already, I'll just list off all the rest of Hideki Kamiya's games - Viewtiful Joe, Bayonetta and Wonderful 101)
Metal Gear Solid V, it has the nicest gameplay out of mgs for sure, aside from that worth mentioning 3 has the most digestible story and is chronologically the first, while Rising is a spin-off that has all of the memes
Since, with mgrr, I've nearly mentioned every Platinum game, and they are good, I'll list the rest off: NieR Automata and Replicant, Vanquish and Astral Chain
Touhou, if you beat all of the mainline on lunatic you are a true gamer
God of War 3 best entry in the gow series

Celeste, may be my actual favorite game of all time (let alone indie game), if 'wario' type of platformers are more your alley, you'll like Pizza Tower
Ori and the Blind Forest, Shovel Knight, Rayman Origins, these are more good platformers
Disco Elysium best RPG to come out in a long, long time
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth this may actually be my favorite if I could play it, they made it too gpu intensive though, it has potentially the best, 10/10 combat of any game that currently exists.

Yakuza I was a bit conflicted putting it on this list, because it doesn't have many elements to it's gameplay that really outshine any of the other titles, but it's special propensity to reawaken your inner child is something else

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth this may actually be my favorite if I could play it, they made it too gpu intensive though, it has potentially the best, 10/10 combat of any game that currently exists.

I loved remake but actually dropped this one 70% through. Amazing gameplay, abysmal pacing and filler. FF16 is better and FF13-2 is the best FF game.

They should've 'reimagined' FF6 instead, since 7 is already a good game on it's own that still stands to this day. FF16 combat is in no way better than FF7R's, you would've liked it more if you just focused on the gameplay than anything else, but this requires using your brain, patience and skill. Final Fantasy as a franchise is terrible overall

Deus ex I've played a couple in the series and agree. It's definitely worth playing.
I have touhau but I still haven't played it.

Playing through and especially learning and mastering the best games of every genre involves using a lot of patience not like picking up some filler overrated trash like Bethesda, Rockstar, CD Projekt or let alone FromSoftware

Weird take I never expected to hear. The pixel art looks generic and the polygon graphics have their irreplaceable charm to them. But the worst part is the gameplay of FF6, which totally deserved to receive the treatment of turning it into a masterpiece of action genre that 7 got.

It's the gameplay first and foremost. The way you fight enemies in Skyrim is almost as bad as it is in Dark Souls or Elden Ring. At the very least the previous elder scrolls included real rpg mechanics to spice it up, I'm pretty sure you could make your own spells and things like this. Then, they also had, again, Fallout, which is still overrated, but not as much as the most overrated games that exist

pixel art will always have some place in gaming. polygon graphics are obsolete and look like shit. show FF6 and FF7 to the average normie with no RPG experience and they'll assume FF6 is the newer game. as for gameplay, both are incredibly similar so idk what ur talking about.

1 and more so 2 are nice enough, 3 and especially 4 not so much at all. Vegas was made by a different studio (Obsidian) which made it stand out, but maybe it is dated somehow. There are better games overall

It wouldn't even take a 10th of my free time to play through stuff like this, but no, I didn't play Fallout by the way, It's just something I'm interested in, but also I did see people who played it though.
Basically I have it on good authority to rank it lower, especially given that, I have played the ones I consider my favorites and the best of all time, so I know what it takes for a game to stand up to that

Water is wet it's subjective of course, which games you like to play, but you do need to broaden your scope also because you may just be impressionable, and without knowing it, playing trash like how it often happens with people randomly picking up whatever Miyazaki crapped out since it was shilled throughout all heaven and earth, and there is also the fact that, you may just like one game but the extent to which a game requires skills, brains, and virtues is more or less objectively measurable and those specifically are the ones you must play if you consider yourself cultured
Also, if you were referring to how long it would take me to play the games, it's the fact that, you're not really experiencing the game if you just stop instead of engaging with the mechanics, and even if you're going for 100% completion, it's not so long it takes for me anyway, that's what I meant

Interesting. Yeah I somehow neglected to mention Skyrim is more of a game engine than it is a game. It's like Minecraft.
It is in very nice taste, that you enjoy strategy games. Real-time strategy is the highest IQ genre that exists, I will get into it later, you should definitely try it also.

I agree, people have very low standards nowadays, if a game has microtransactions and lootboxes and emotes, cosmetics, gambling. Then it is not even a 0/10, it has a negative score. Yet some will praise a game for not having these, automatically assuming that means it's worth their time
