Videogame New Steam Hardware (Releasing Early 2026)

So Valve announced new Steam hardware.

Woke up to the announcement - my friend sent me a link to an X thread about it, then I saw it on the Steam store and the official announcement on Valve's YouTube channel.

Will you be buying any of their new products?

Personally I'll be buying the Steam Machine (which is something I've wanted since I got my Steam Deck OLED) and the Steam Controller (another thing I've wanted remade since I got my Deck). The Steam Frame (VR) is probably less of a priority, but it looks cool.

I'm a bit of a Steambot, to be honest. They mog PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo (and that's coming from someone who likes Nintendo's games).

No, no, and no.
None of their peripherals particularly stand out among the competition, nor am I in search for those anyway. I have never, and will never buy singleplayer games on steam due to picrel, plus the fact that it's not physical media (we must abolish Intellectual Property trolling). And, the store application itself can suck my shit, it hogs tons of resources on your computer, plus on the developer side they have to opt-out of inserting DRM into their game. GOG all the way.
