Should you face your fears?

I had a dream where I was flying through space seeing outlines of shapes made of stars (cool things like dinosaurs)

I became lucid there and decided to confront the demons that make my life hell to simply deal with them
I started moving at a rapid pace the shapes were blurring past me
though my consciousness was calm and determined suddenly my heart started beating out of my chest
I realised It was an extreme fear reaction and soon woke up. from a heart attack to heart beating normal upon quick examination.

Fear has its place, it's there for a reason. Ignoring it outright is way dumber than letting yourself be piloted by it.
