It's no coincidence that Christopher Nolan's movie this year is The Odyssey. He also knows what the masses do not.

The Greek Odyssey, the Roman Aeneid, the Norse Eddas detailing Ragnarok, the Persian Shahnameh, the Vedic Mahabharata, the Celtic tales of the Tuatha De Denann, they're all telling the exact same story. They all have the same Yamnaya Culture origin, passed down orally. Snapshots of the same story frozen at different times and locations.
