Plushies are soft, comfy and fun to play with, and relatively inexpensive too. Whereas figurines tend to be on the expensive end, and are basically hard plastic which just sit there doing nothing.

Plushies are better toys

Figurines are more collector orientated.

That being said many plushies are collectible and rare, like ones from the Fate series, but usually it's figurines.

Figurines are better suited for use as idols

Prefer figures as they feel way more socially acceptable and I kinda fuck with blind boxes and collectable art figures.

I still sleep with plushies, I sometimes, while trying to fall asleep, hug one of my plushies while imagining i'm hugging my mother or another loved one.
