Virtual reality is as real as physical reality​

Virtual reality (VR) and physical reality (PR) are both manifestations of information, in different forms. While physical reality emerges from the complex interactions of matter and energy, virtual reality emerges from the patterns of ones and zeroes — It is all data.

To say that VR is just as real as PR is to recognize that our experiences in both worlds are fundamentally grounded in information processing. Whether we're perceiving the world through our physical senses or through the lenses of a VR headset, our brains are constantly interpreting and making sense of the data they receive — It is all in the brain.

Realism is the only difference between VR with haptic input and PR.

I personally separate experience and reality
Experience is always real doesn't matter if it's mundane physical reality or dreams or altered states of consciousness

Reality is objective and can be compared and as such VR will always come short to our earthly life I believe

For NPCs it won't be much different but for schizos there will be something missing and limiting in VR
and most of us instinctively know that VR is a trap that cuts us off from the spirit and is meant to keep us forever

so the difference is subtle but it's there
