Only reason to get a .22 is if its illegal imo. I think if you gonna go and get the whole papertrail required for a legal firearm you need to get atleast a 9mm, never owned a gun, and have wimpy wrists unless you are comfortable trading a 22 in later.

I been watching airgun videos im really impressed
So much lighter, much less recoil but still deadly at short range and how often will you actually aim over 50 yards anyways

im really starting to think airgun might be the best but maybe having a compressor is too expensive and annoying.

I Can't get guns in Canada I imagine that for you guys buying a gun is as simple as going into a store and buying one with no restrictions whatsoever and they are probably cheap as well unlike here they are extremely expensive.

They make it sound like it's with no restrictions. Basically you need a license. It's easy to get most places where you can get one but it takes like 24 hours. Then you buy a gun licensed to you it's like being fingerprinted. If you fire the gun in a crime they can likely trace the gun back to you.
