Just keep coping more theory.
I don't agree. There is really a lot to explore about the mind. The more you investigate your life the more you realize that identity is a very nuanced thing. Many things that you take yourself to be, or to think that are yours, are not really, but things that are conditioned by thousands of causes that converge on you. Many things are done without the interfering of an "I". For example, "flow states" just simply happen, the body and mind just do what they do. Thus it opens the doors to realizing by direct experience the illusion of free will, which in turn allows for compassion and detachment!
I think spirituality is about turning inward and investigating about your subjective phenomenological experience. It is really worth it. Deconstructing identity is a process that sometimes can be magical, to realize that this "I" that I take myself to be is not the thing I think.
I would really like one day to realize something more profound like mystical states of consciousness and share my experiences here, but on and all, this is everything I got to share.
