Anime Anyone here into Gundam/Gunpla?

I remember watching one of the relatively recent series a couple years back when I was a kid. I think it was Iron-Blooded Orphans? I remember really liking it, but I have virtually no recollection of the actual show.

Furthermore, I've been itching for a huge, sprawling franchise to get really invested in, and the idea of Gunpla, although expensive, is truly alluring, so the whole thing is exciting for a multiplicity of reasons!

Does anyone here have any familiarity with the franchise and/or building the models? I'd love to hear from you, whether you're a novice or an expert.

I watched the original movie trilogy

Good but nothing great. I'm interested to see more come out of the worldbuilding and setting but the actual story/characters (besides gihren and char) were nothing that good to me
