Julius Evola's third book, Revolt Against The Modern World, published in 1934. This tome, steeped in traditionalist philosophy, critiques modern civilization and yearns for a return to ancient, aristocratic values.

I never read Evola per se, but I got a strong impression that it's mystical literature in the context of fascist Italy. The people who mention him skimmed through the books for 2 weeks and then LARP as in-the-know.Julius Evola's third book, Revolt Against The Modern World, published in 1934. I read Decline of the West, it's a good book, I learnt a lot about ancient architecture and Spengler has a certain style like an ebullient preacher, like an old dude really enthusiastic to tell about his cool history fact collection.I never read Evola per se, but I got a strong impression that it's mystical literature in the context of fascist Italy. Anything mystical and esoterical that's discussed on the Internet is utterly clownish; I had my share of that and I'd rather not.
If you want something Axis-style, Oswald Spengler is a mogger and he's interesting to read. That's the type of man that can take on on the world. Evolians would badly fail to develop weapons and lose to Ethiopia (true story).
"Hour of Decision" is his political manifesto, "Man and Technology" muses about tech. Haven't read him in a while frankly.I read Decline of the West, it's a good book, I learnt a lot about ancient architecture and Spengler has a certain style like an ebullient preacher, like an old dude really enthusiastic to tell about his cool history fact collection.
I got copies from Arktos."Man and Technology" muses about tech. Haven't read him in a while frankly.
"Decline of the West" is a 2 volume book, with the second volume often out of print (mysteriously). And I do have all that as physical books, I'm not a fraud.
I own Russian translations.I got copies from Arktos.
I had no idea we had such a scholarly userbaseNice thread, gonna read it this month

Happiness is the ability to enjoy in peace without anxiety. It has nothing to do with politics or identity. You can get plenty of joy with a dog and a tennis ball but not if you're ill or preoccupied with drama.

I'm sorry to Mishima for his existence, he lost his controlby dying like that.

Thank you. This is the one thing that caused the entire Mishima debate.I think you didn't get what Mishima was into. He didn't see himself as his physical body (which is correct, we aren't just our physical bodies) and treated his own death as a work of art. He didn't want to age and choose to die in the vigor of youth, so as to create an artistic image of it. Like you said, he was an extreme aesthete, to the point his life had less value than the aesthetics of his dead body.
I've heard that most of Evola's works on sex came from Otto Weininger's works. I haven't got to that part yet but I'm not sure if I will. I should do a PhD if I'm going to study him that far and get something out of it. I don't mind reading about it.At that time, uranism was associated with homosexuality, so Evola could possibly have been bissexual as well, like Mishima was. In fact, solar aesthetics implies in a worship of the male form, which eventually leads to gym culture and homosexuality.
Maybe you should.Anyway, Im sick of repeating myself I will open some blog and write all my debunks of these right wing authors.
I've got PDF copies of Evola's works and I'm reading them right now. I thought I already said that in another thread.

I believe that the vast majority of all political suicides and suicide attacks are already suicidal people placing their suicidality into their politics. Two of Evola's influencers committed suicide, Otto Weininger and Carlo Michelstaedter, so there was something suicidal going on from the start. I don't know what's attracting the crazies and the trans to his works so I've decided to read them to see for myself.

The author of this book waldganged out of the city, he's an Evola guy too and very similar to Mishima.

You mean this thread? It is a male thing. Remember that thread about self-destruction? So it runs on most men...
The left side of the Tree of Wyrd is male, and negative, while the right side is female, and positive. Might have something to do with it.
Otto Weininger's "Sex and Character" is a must read. He was the first who exposed the idea of the sexual spectrum for me. Faggots and office women lies in the middle of this spectrum, and they are born that way, which means the dna influences it. And culture influences the dna:
Erasing the jewish myth
It is due time to erase the jewish myth. This internet idea that the jews are the masters of reality came from 4chan, using nazism as clutches to support it. Not even Hitler believed it. Jews only got powerful because they were given to keys to the finances of the european aristocracy. And...elysianfields.se
Romanticism was a mistake. It should never have happened. But then, it was a byproduct of the Revolution...
