Anime Anyone watch the new Cyberpunk? (Edgerunners 2)

Curious what people thought of the new season of Edgerunners? Did it hold up compared to season 1? I thought it was a great season and hope they keep making single arc season like that. Though I wish maybe give it some more time for the fights and all.

I thought them not showing D and Carpi fighting militech vs arasaka only showing the very end kind of sucked, though he did last hours as it was night when he was at the end. Also kind of wish why Kyoto had a thing for Carpi outside of it was her project cause it seem like she wanted Carpi free not just under her control. Though could see that be something explained in season 3 like they did to that program David was on that Lucy was killing everyone that knew of it to link it to the last season like they did with season 1.

I think the problem is making it only 10 episodes. I think the Season 1 and 2 would done better with a few 12. They kind of rush way too much in Season 1

I think of seeing an episode David being part of Maine's crew more than a short montage and maybe a full episode of building his crew would help the pacing.

As for Season 2 I think we should had a little bit more time with King pre-nerf even via flashbacks. Same with D. Maybe a montage of D on his revenge crusade before the start of the series. Also as I mention before, give us more of D's last stand against the militech and arasaka outside of Night City. I know he lasted till the night but I would love to see a video Roman made of his last stand. So it's not like we would get the whole thing but have Roman pulling his heart and soul into D's recordings and then send the video out to everyone rather to sell it to honor his friend's memory. Then in the back ground you see people get more into video recordings and see more people with camcorders around Night City as it becomes the new fad.

I get what you mean, in my opinion, I think what made the first season of a fair quality was that though it was fast paced it didn't lose track nor does the watcher lose interest. Yes, we get to know the crew, but the story telling nor is the plot lost through those important moments.

I agree it was a very tight story, but I felt we could got a little more time with some characters to make their death worth a little more. Let's be honest, Outside of Becca, Maine, David, and Lucy. Everyone felt very in and out. From Dorio having what 10 lines in the show, Pilar was a bit better. But my point of giving us a a little more time with them could help bring their death more impact cause of them not due to the reaction of other characters like Becca and David. Hell I don't think anyone mentions Dorio's death. (Doesn't help Maine's death overshadow it, but still.)

I agree it was a very tight story, but I felt we could got a little more time with some characters to make their death worth a little more. Let's be honest, Outside of Becca, Maine, David, and Lucy. Everyone felt very in and out. From Dorio having what 10 lines in the show, Pilar was a bit better. I don't disagree, the question raises as to how to make those scenes fit without losing the plot, season 2 had time and yet despite that did not use the time it had properly and while the concept of AI and weaponizing it is interesting; it was not properly fleshed out or given foreshadowing or paced properly. Now while there can be criticism of the first season and the use of David for the cyber skeleton, it doesn't feel rushed or forced becuase even though it was last moment we see how what David thought of his capacity for cyberware and the idea of it in general leads us to the conclusion that doesn't feel rushed or lack sense.

I admit, I'm happy they brought the reference of the nomad tribes and showing a little bit of their lives within night city, that being of course the main character and his friend which I think could have been done better.
