When we first embraced the internet, we believed in the ideal of a global village, a place to expand our horizons and explore the best of what the world had to offer. Instead, we built a machine for toxicity and mind-rot that crushes the soul and drains the life force out of users. Most mainstream communities whether on Reddit, TikTok, or YouTube are either toxic simulations or mechnical and hollow. We've lost the ability to create genuine, memorable moments because we've traded depth for convenience. People chose to spam, argue, and attack others because it's the quickest path to a cheap dopamine hit and the easiest form of engagement.

Now, I know that most people who rightfully bring this up dont do much to change it, myself included, but I believe its about time we take action, even if small.

The internet has become a catastrophic cesspool that promotes anonymous apathy.
And to add on, the internet is simply a reflection of society. People like to claim that the internet and real life are "separate" because its easier to deny reality then to deal with the repercussions of it.

Are we really supposed to believe that mainstream forums and platforms used by millions are just "pixels" or the laughable excuse of 'its just bots'? We all know that technology and reality are now intertwined, yet we choose to deny it when it comes to the internet.

Maybe that’s what people stated as to match their virtuous ideals, but its undeniable premise was always the idea of a virtual world running alongside real life, and that idea has succeeded immensely.

The difference between the virtual world and real world has become blurred. There is none.

Well, I took action when I got fed up with bot-ridden "communities" (such as Reddit subs, 4chan, Nexus, among others) and searched for forums in a 2000s format. Came across incels.is, but it was equally toxic, focusing only on talking about foids. Fortunatelly users there were bashing this forum here, which allowed me to join it. Else I would never find it, because the search engines are broken on purpose and non-bot content is being censored by biased algorithms.
