If you aren't held back by either
1. you being too scared to steal
or
2. you being morally obligated to be a law-abiding citizen and not steal
then you have no reason to not shoplift. I do it to save money and occasionally time. I usually go for energy drinks, softmaxxing products, food, and groceries for my parents. If you're under the age of 18 like me, then you are pretty much missing out via not deciding to shoplift. You get free stuff, it's fun, rewarding, and ultimately a skill.
All of the counter-arguments link back to those two categories listed above
"b-b-but what if i get caught?" you're too scared
"okay, well i wanna be a law-abiding citizen, not a lowly thief" okay, keep doing that, moralcuck
"well, you realise that it isn't a victimless crime? the employees get impacted too" i don't care, they could get fired for all i care actually
"it'll go on your record" not unless you're trying to pull some Ocean's 11 bullshit and try to get hundred dollars worth of stuff at once. stop being greedy and have some patience. also just don't get caught LOL
"the store builds a record on you and will hit you with a felony" not for big supermarkets and that only happens if you're a repeat offender whom they know by face, are sick of, and are trying to get behind bars. even if you're a regular there, as long as they don't know you're a shoplifter, it's chill
Edit: I forgot to add in the variable of age. If you are over 18 and don't shoplift, that's honestly fair by my books. The risks outweigh the reward at that point.
If you're under 18 though: throw your layman's morals away, and grow a pair of balls nigga.
