Gift-giving was never really a thing in my family because my parents were mean.

My mom was telling me what she wanted for Christmas and I told her that I i cant because im penalized for forgetting to pay my electric bill. but she doesnt know that I looked at my bank account and can afford the penalty because i didnt spend much last month and hod more money than usual at the start of the month.
